A French version of the game, Baccarat first developed in the late 15th century and is played with 6 to 8 deck of cards dealt from a shoe. A croupier begins by shuffling the deck then passing it to the first player on their right, each player then shuffles and passes the deck to the player to his right. After a final shuffle by the croupier cards are dealt to the right with each player having the right to assume the position of the bank by calling "Banco". A player remains banker until he loses bet and the opportunity and the dealer's shoe passes to the player to his right.
A variant of the casino card game Baccarat.
